I’m Jo

I soothe my anxious mind in Nature, I heal my body, tend to my heart and feel my spirit come alive when I connect to the wild beings in my local landscape.

My calling is to be a way-pointer for others, to guide and inspire your journey to a Wild Revival.

everything I create

- from foraging walks and herbal workshops, to my bottled remedies and ink paintings; they are made to spark curiosity and connection.

My work weaves together education, creativity, and space to simply be; I offer ways to notice more, learn deeply, and belong again to the wild ecosystem of the Land.

I’m here to remind you that you can build your own relationship with the natural world - one that is confident, joyful, and reciprocal. Every plant, every season, has something to teach us; I’m devoted to helping you rediscover that conversation.

My story… the anxiety-filled, tired and always out-of-place one

…to a grounded, confident and naturally in-tune being

I grew up drawn to the wild edges of agricultural Cambridgeshire, making dens behind shrubs in the park and collecting petals for potions in the garden. My mum, a fantastic gardener, taught me how to tend plants and my Dad’s love of hillwalking gave me an appreciation for landscape that stays with me today. I moved to Northumberland to raise my 2 children and fell in love, utterly, with the rugged coastline, sea-worn pebbles and twisted Hawthorn trees. The Wild called me home.

But in-between these times of childhood spellmaking and digging my roots down, I lost that connection - with the Land, the plants, the seasons and myself. Life became about money, productivity, and expectation. I felt untethered, anxious, and out of rhythm with myself and the world, suffering from SAD (Seasonal Affective Disorder), depression and several minor but ongoing health issues. I didn’t feel like I belonged anywhere, and I put myself in many places to try and find the fit. People-pleasing, burning out, trying so hard.

It was through foraging that I found my way back.

Learning the names of the wild plants and weeds, understanding their gifts, and walking slowly enough to notice the shift of each season changed everything for me. It soothed my frantic mind, softened my longing heart, and rooted me again in something real. Intuitively familiar sights began populating my awareness and heralding each season as it changed; the bright green Nettle shoots meant Spring arriving, the tiny white flowers of Wild Strawberries indicated the coming of days warm enough to leave my coat at home, and the bittersweet sound of Geese flying over in Autumn is my mantra for hope through the dark months.

Now, I’ve created Wild Revival so that I can share that same path with others, guiding you to explore, learn, and find your own wild conversation with the Land, to finally recognise that you belong here.

The Ways of

Wild Revival

  • Through in-person foraging walks and illustrated guides in my Membership, I teach you how to recognise and build relationships with the wild plants that surround you, not just by sight, but by season, scent, taste and story. Work with me to help grow your confidence, learning to gather and use local plants with respect, curiosity and care for the land that sustains them. I always teach foraging with the pillars of ethical harvesting, safe practice, and compassionate awareness.

  • I teach simple, seasonal ways to bring nature’s medicine into your everyday life. Through herbal remedies, foraged recipes and grounding rituals, I guide you to work gently with the rhythms of the Earth - restoring balance, tending to your wellbeing, and deepening your sense of connection to the Land. In Circle, Ceremony or laid-back gatherings, I share ways to ignite a spiritual awareness of Nature.

  • I guide practices that help you slow down and reconnect, to breathe deeper, notice more, and remember your place within the living world. My work offers space for reflection, rest and reconnection, helping you find calm and belonging in nature’s presence, even amidst busy modern life. I facilitate many activities including Forest Bathing, mindful Land engagement and traditional skills, depending on the group and location.

  • I share ways to create in collaboration with the land, from wild inks and natural pigments to woven ivy baskets and talismans. These creative practices invite you to deepen and express your relationship with place and season, using the materials and moments that nature offers so freely.
